On Monday June 7, 2021 at approximately 7:52 AM officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to an apartment located in the 2000 block of Woodhaven Drive (Winchester Woods Apartments) in reference to a burglary in progress.

On June 7th, 2021 at approximately 9:56pm Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 2400 block of Ormsby St. in regards to a stabbing. The Complainant Party called Dispatch and advised that he had been stabbed in the back and that his girlfriend’s son did it.

On June 5th, 2021 at approximately 9:50pm Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 2300 block of Hoagland Ave. in regards to a shooting. While Police were en route, citizens were calling Dispatch reporting hearing multiple shots fired.

On June 2, 2021 at approximately 10:45am Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to an unknown problem at the 2900 block of Gay St. While investigating this incident Officers discovered 3 murdered young children and a deceased adult female in a residence on Gay St.

Regarding the attached incident, through a joint effort between FWPD Homicide, Gang and Violent Crimes Unit, Vice and Narcotics Unit, and the Indiana State Police, Cohen Bennett Hancz-Barron has been arrested at an apartment complex in Lafayette, IN.
Updated: Battery with Serious Bodily Injury- Leesburg Road

On June 1st, 2021 (Tuesday) at approximately 9:30pm an unknown problem was reported at 707 Leesburg Rd. FWPD Officers located an adult male victim suffering from a head injury from an assault. The victim sustained life threatening injuries. FWPD Homicide Detectives are currently looking for Samuel McCormick, a white male age 24.
