Fatal Shooting Investigation

Location: 2516 Lillie Street  Fort Wayne

Time: 8:05 p.m.

Details:

On 7/21/2020 at approximately 8:05 p.m. officers were dispatched to 2516 Lillie Street for the report of a shooting.  While officers were en route to the location several more calls came in reporting shots fired in the 2500 block of Lillie Street. 

Officers arrived and located an adult male victim lying on the front porch of the residence with apparent gunshot wounds.  Paramedics arrived on scene and provided emergency medical treatment however he succumbed to his injuries was declared deceased on scene.  A second adult female victim was located at the address, also suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.  She was taken to a local hospital to be treated for her injuries which were deemed near life threatening.  Preliminary information indicated the two victims were boyfriend and girlfriend. 

Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators from the Fort Wayne Police Department are canvassing the area, speaking with potential witnesses and collecting evidence from the scene.  There is no suspect or vehicle information at this time.

The identity of the male victim, along with cause and manner of death will be released by the Allen County Coroner’s Office.  Anyone with information about this incident should contact the Fort Wayne Police Department at 427-1201 or Crimestoppers at 436-STOP.
