Fort Wayne Police Department Responds to Stabbing at South Anthony Blvd and Colonial

Fort Wayne, IN – On June 12, 2025, at approximately 1330 hrs, officers from the Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) responded to reports of a stabbing at the corner of South Anthony
Blvd and Colonial. Upon arrival, officers found an 11-year-old male victim who had been stabbed in the abdomen by a suspect wearing a “Scream” mask. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The relationship between the suspect and the victim is currently unknown.

The suspect, identified as Trayveon Sewel, a 27-year-old male, was located by uniform officers in the 4500 block of Atwood Dr. and taken into custody without incident. Sewel is currently in custody for Criminal Recklessness with a Deadly Weapon, a Level 6 Felony.

Detectives are actively interviewing witnesses and seeking video footage from the area to further the investigation.
