FATAL TRAFFIC ACCIDENT

Details/Summary:

On Saturday, May 31, 2025, around 9:00 p.m., officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) were dispatched to a reported traffic accident near the intersection of Maplecrest Rd. and Centerton Dr. Upon arrival, officers located a single motorist who had been involved in a crash. Medics responded to the scene and pronounced the motorist deceased. Preliminary investigation suggests that speed is may have been a contributing factor in the incident. The FWPD’s Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT) was notified and has taken over the investigation. This incident remains under investigation by the FWPD’s FACT and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
