Details/Summary:
On December 11, 2024, Detective Charles ‘Chuck’ Volz, an investigator with the Fort Wayne Police Department assigned to the Crimes Against Persons Section (CAPS) and the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, received a Cybertip from the National Center For Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) about an individual suspected of viewing and downloading Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), commonly known as Child Pornography. Detective Volz later determined that individual was Kenneth Lee Eatmon. By that time Mr. Eatmon was confined in the Allen County Jail for unrelated offenses. Detective Volz procured valid search warrants for Mr. Eatmon’s electronic devices. Several other members from CAPS assisted Detective Volz in executing the search warrants on December 18, 2024, including at his residence in the 1400 block of Hugh Street. Indeed, numerous files containing CSAM have been discovered on his devices. Detective Volz arrested Mr. Eatmon at the Allen County Jail this morning for the listed charges.
The Indiana ICAC is a multiagency task force led by the Indiana State Police that investigates and prosecutes persons who use the internet to sexually exploit or entice children. Each year, Indiana ICAC investigators evaluate thousands of tips, investigate hundreds of cases, and rescue dozens of children from ongoing sexual abuse. The Indiana ICAC Task Force encourages Hoosiers to report online exploitation, solicitation, and enticement-type crimes against children to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Their website can be accessed through the ICAC Task Force website. To learn more about the efforts of the Indiana ICAC, visit https://internetcrimesagainstkids.com .
