Details/Summary:

On Tuesday, August 27, 2024, around 10:04 pm, officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of E. Lewis and Hanna Streets reference a shooting. Upon arrival, they found an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds near the Cap n’ Cork, 604 E. Lewis St. Medics rushed the male to a local hospital and his condition was determined to be life-threatening. No one, currently, is wanted or in custody. There is no danger to the public.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact the Fort Wayne Police Department at 427-1201, Crime Stoppers at 436-7867, or use the free “P3 Tips” app. This incident remains under investigation by the City of Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
