Details/Summary:

The Fort Wayne Police Department received radio communication from an off-duty Fort Wayne Firefighter working at an apartment complex, 7911 Decatur Rd, regarding hearing shots fired. Officers arrived and started to knock on apartment doors to investigate. As officers came across an open sliding door, they heard a male call out for help. As officers entered the apartment, they observed another adult male that was unconscious. Medics were requested to scene; however, the male was pronounced deceased.

Detectives and crime scene technicians arrived on-scene and started processing for evidence.
