Details/Summary:
A minor child arrived at the Fort Wayne Police Operations Center today alleging child sexual abuse (CSA) by her father, Mynor Oswaldo Esquite. The child said her father often videotaped many of the incidents of abuse. She disclosed the last incident of CSA occurred on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. The Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) was assembled and the child was taken to the Fort Wayne Sexual Assault Treatment Center. Detectives Jean Gigli and Miranda Lasley, investigators from the Crimes Against Persons Section (CAPS), were assigned to the case. They determined the alleged defendant was working in a house near Syracuse, Indiana. They went there to locate him. The detectives were accompanied by Officer Preonda Reese, and Detective Sergeant Mark Brooks and Detective Steve Hus from the Air Support Unit (ASU). The alleged defendant was arrested and transported to the Allen County Jail. A Search Warrant was served at the alleged defendant’s residence. Detectives Gigli and Lasley were also assisted by CAPS Detective Ken Johnson, CAPS Detective Scott Wilson, the Indiana Department of Child Services, and the Dr. Bill Lewis Center For Children.
