On October 6, 2020, officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a report of a vehicle in the river in the 1600 block of W. Jefferson Blvd. Officers arrived and spoke to a witness who called 911 after locating a vehicle in the river just south of the bridge across from Swinney Park.

On Sunday, 10/04/2020, at approximately 4:30 PM, the City of Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a residence in the 5200 block of South Anthony Blvd. reference a domestic dispute involving a party armed with a firearm.

Officers were called to the 5700 block of Challenger Parkway reference to a disturbance with a party armed. Upon arrival a suspect was quickly identified. When the Officer approached him he fled on foot.
Fort Wayne Homicide Detectives assisted by Vice Narcotics and Gang/Violent Crimes apprehended the suspect from a homicide earlier this morning. Two people were shot and a female victim, name not yet released, died this morning in the 7900 block of Serenity Drive.
