Suspect Arrested #1: Donald Dustin Cornett, AKA Dusty Cornett, 44 years old male

Preliminary Charges: 2 counts of Child Molesting,  Level 1 Felonies, 1 count of Child Molesting, Level 4 Felony

Details:

Donald Cornett was previously investigated by Detective Sergeant Todd Battershell, for numerous offenses involving multiple children. Mr. Cornett is a self-proclaimed “Serial Pedophile”. In May 2023, another child disclosed being victimized by Mr. Cornett which ultimately led to criminal charges being filed. He is currently being confined at the Allen County Jail. Detective Sergeant Battershell was assisted in both cases by the Fort Wayne Sexual Assault Treatment Center, the Dr. Bill Lewis Center For Children, the Indiana Department of Child Services - Allen County, the Fort Wayne Police Department Victims Assistance Unit, and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
