Details:

The Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating multiple burglaries involving fast food restaurants. The suspect of these burglaries, David Sylvester, was driving a stolen maroon Chevy Malibu and was encountered by Police in the area of 3730 E. Washington Blvd (Hallmark Inn) on 4/27/23 at roughly 2:39 pm. During the course of the apprehension, David fled in his vehicle striking multiple squad cars in the process. He was arrested after he crashed his vehicle into the concrete median in the roadway, outside the Inn parking lot. He further resisted arrest while being taken into custody. There were no injuries reported in the incident. The FWPD was assisted by New Haven PD.
