Motor Vehicle Accident Investigation
With Life Threatening Injuries

Officers of the Fort Wayne Police department responded to the intersection of Washington Ctr and LeSteele in reference to a reported motor vehicle accident with possible injuries. Officers were advised that this accident involved a car and a motorcycle and that there was possibly 2 victims down on the ground with injuries.
Upon Officers arrival they did locate an adult male and an adult female that had been on the motorcycle that were down on the ground suffering from Non Life Threatening injuries and Paramedics transported both victims to a local hospital and a short time later they were advised that the female had been downgraded to now having Life Threatening Injuries.
Initial indications were that the motorcycle was heading West on Washington Ctr and the Car was heading East On Washington Ctr and it is believed that the car attempted to turn North into the addition and turned into the path of the motorcycle at which time the motorcycle struck the vehicle. Fatal Accident Investigators were called to the scene and closed the road down between Hatfield and Hillegas and the roadway will remain closed till the investigation is complete and the roadway is cleared.
At this time the accident is still under investigation and the cause of the accident will be released when the investigation is complete. This incident is being investigated by the Fort Wayne Police Department, and the Allen County Prosecutor's Office.
