On November 12, 2020, at 7:39pm, officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the 6300 block of Decor Dr. Officers arrived and learned that two adult males had been shot. One male was taken to a local hospital by private vehicle and determined to be in non-life-threatening condition. The other male remained on scene and was taken via ambulance to a local hospital where he was determined to be in life-threatening condition.

Initial information indicates the males were inside of a garage, when something happened that led to shots being fired. A person of interest is currently detained at the police station for questioning.

Investigators are working to figure out what led to the shots being fired, who the intended target(s) was, what the relationship between the males is, what the involvement of the person of interest was, etc. Detectives are going door to door, searching for and interviewing any witnesses. Crime scene units will be processing the scene, searching for and collecting evidence.
