Fort Wayne, Ind. - Fort Wayne Police Department Detectives are presently investigating two gas station robberies that occurred on February 1, 2013.  At approximately 4:46 am Officers responded to the BP Gas Station at 900 Coliseum Blvd. (BP) where the gas station clerk reported to officers that a male approached him while he was cleaning and put a gun to his head.  The male told the clerk that this is a robbery and demanded money.  The clerk advised that there was another male taking the cash register.  The clerk was threatened and then struck a few times by the male brandishing the gun.  The suspects took the cash register and the clerk's wallet and fled in an unknown direction of travel.

Roughly two hours later, at 6:48 AM, another call for service regarding an armed robbery occurred at the Marathon Gas Station at 6520 Lima Rd.  Officers were advised by the clerk that a male wearing a black hooded sweat shirt with the hood up and black pants pointed a handgun to his face and demanded money from the register.  The suspects then fled north with an unknown disclosed amount of money.

Investigators believe these two robberies were perpetrated by the same two male subjects.   Detectives have obtained in-store surveillance images of the suspects and are asking for anyone knowing the identities or whereabouts of the suspects to call police at (260) 427-1222 or Crime Stoppers at (260) 436-STOP (7867).

One suspect is described as being a black male, in his early twenties, between 5'3 and 5'9, and last seen wearing a black hooded sweat shirt.  The other suspect is described as being a black male, having a lighter complexion, in his early twenties, standing between 5'8" to 5'9", having a slim build, and last seen wearing a white t-shirt and dark pants.

This incident remains under investigation by the City of Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.
