Location of Incident: 700 Milton Street
Victim #1: Adult Male - Pronounced dead at the scene
Victim #2: Adult Male - Transported to a local hospital in critical condition
Fort Wayne, Ind - On December 7th at 9:32 p.m., Officers of the Fort Wayne Department responded to a call of a possible shooting near the intersection of Hanna Street and Milton Street. Officers located a Green Oldsmobile, that was parked facing westbound, on Milton Street. Two adult males were located inside of the vehicle. Both of the victim's appeared to have suffered gunshot wounds. One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Witnesses reported that a male subject was seen as they exited the rear of the vehicle and fled northbound on foot. We have no additional information on this subject at this time.
The Fort Wayne Fire Department assisted in shutting off the engine of the Green Oldsmobile as it appeared to be overheating.
Detectives and Crime Scene Technicians of the Fort Wayne Police Department, representatives of the Allen County Coroner's Office and Allen County Prosecutor's Office were notified and arrived to investigate. More information is expected after an autopsy is performed on the deceased victim.
The name of the deceased victim will be released by the Allen County Coroner's Office. Also, the exact cause and manner of death will be determined by the Allen County Coroner's Office.
