$13,000 Cash Reward Possible for Information Leading to Arrests in Bank Robbery Investigation

On Thursday, October 25, 2012 at approximately 8:40 a.m., the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the Midwest America Federal Credit Union located at 1021 Swinney Avenue reference to an armed robbery investigation. Credit Union employees advised that when they arrived to work that morning, they were approached by two male subjects who were dressed in dark-hooded sweatshirts and wearing black masks over their faces. The suspects forced the employees inside at gunpoint. The perpetrators fled the area in an unknown direction of travel with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Investigators have obtained video image(s) captured via surveillance camera and are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the perpetrator(s). Anyone having information about this investigation is asked to contact police at 260 427-1222, or Crime Stoppers at 260 436-STOP (7867). A $13,000 cash reward is possible through Crime Stoppers for information leading to the arrest of the perpetrators. (A $10,000 reward payment is being offered by Midwest America FCU, and a $2,000 reward payment is being offered by the Federal Bureau of Identification, and a $1,000 reward payment is being offered by Crime Stoppers.)
The incident remains under investigation by the Northeast Indiana Bank Robbery Task Force and the Allen County Prosecutor's Office.
