Bank Robbery Investigation, 6141 N. Clinton St., Chase Bank
On Monday, September 10, 2012 at approximately 10:08 am the City of Fort Wayne Police Department responded to CHASE Bank at 6141 N. Clinton Street reference a report of a bank robbery. Witnessess reported that two male black subjects entered the bank; both with their faces concealed and both brandishing handguns. The perpetrators demanded cash from the teller(s) and then fled the scene with cash. Preliminary investigation suggests that there were possibly two get-away vehicles:
Suspect Vehicle(s): Boxy-style, mid-80s, dark-colored vehicle with shiny rims
Dark-colored, smaller-sized SUV
There was at least one customer inside the bank, and several bank employees when this incident occurred. No injuries were reported at the scene. Crime Scene Technicians remain at the scene at this time processing the scene for potential evidence, and detectives are inquiring about any possible video surveillance image(s).
This incident remains under investigation by the Northeast Indiana Bank Robbery Task Force. This task force is composed of investigators with the City of Fort Wayne Police Department, Allen County Sheriff Department, Indiana State Police, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
