Stabbing Investigation

 Date/Time of Incident: 05/10/2012

Location of Incident: 1026 High Street, The Hitch-In-Post

Victim: Freddy E. Pipkin, age 60, of Fort Wayne

At 7:40 PM, officers of the Fort Wayne Police Department were dispatched to 1026 High Street, the Hitch-In-Post, on a report of a possible stabbing. Upon their arrival, officers were directed to the rear parking lot where they located an adult male who appeared to be suffering from a stab wound(s).

Paramedics arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital in critical condition. Preliminary investigation indicates that there was a verbal argument, allegedly over a woman. The argument escalated and finally ended with the victim being stabbed by another male adult. The other male then fled the scene.

There are suspects in custody at this time.  No arrest(s) have been made. The victim has since been upgraded to serious condition.

This case remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, The Allen County Prosecutor's Office and The Allen County Coroner's Office.
