Attempted Bank Robbery / 6116 Trier Road, Partners First FCU

On Wednesday, March 07, 2012 at approximately 7:16 a.m. the City of Fort Wayne Police Department responded to 6116 Trier Road, Partners First FCU, reference a report of a possible robbery attempt. An employee of a cleaning company contracted to clean the facility arrived at the location and while in the parking lot, this employee was approached from behind by two subjects who then forced the employee inside the bank at gunpoint. The perpetrators struck the cleaning employee several times during this robbery attempt, and then fled the scene in the cleaning employee’s vehicle. The vehicle has been recovered by officers. The cleaning employee was reported to be in fair condition at the scene.
It is believed at this time that there was no cash loss though the investigation continues. Investigators have obtained still images of the suspects from a surveillance camera and are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects in this investigation. The images are not of a high quality but investigators are hopeful that disseminating the images will generate a lead.
Suspect Description 1: Male/White, 40 – 50 years of age, approximately 6' tall, weighing over 200 pounds; last seen wearing a black stocking cap with light colored stripes, a tan-colored face covering, and black-colored overalls.
Suspect Description 2: Male/Black, 25 t0 30 years of age, approximately 6'2" - 6'3", having a large build; last seen wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, and another hooded jacket or sweatshirt with a dark-colored center and light-colored sleeves. This subject was holding a blue Nike duffle bag with a white Nike swish on the side.

This incident remains under investigation with the City of Fort Wayne Police Department, and the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. There is nothing further at this time.
