Pharmacy Robbery Investigation / Department Seeks to Identify Suspect

On Saturday, February 11, 2012 at approximately 5:29 pm the City of Fort Wayne Police Department responded to 222 E. Pettit Avenue, Walgreen's, reference a report of a robbery. It was reported that a male subject walked into the store and approached the pharmacy counter. At the counter, the subject was wearing a dark-colored mask and demanded prescription pain medication and stated that he had a gun. Upon obtaining several bottles of Opana, the suspect fled the store on foot. No weapon was displayed and no injuries were reported at the scene.
Suspect Description: Male/Hispanic, approximately 5'6", medium build; last seen wearing a black hooded coat, black pants, and dark colored shoes. The suspect was also wearing a grey small brimmed hat, and had the hood of his coat pulled over his head.
Investigators have obtained a still image from a store surveillance camera and are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.
