Serious Crash Investigation

Date/Time of Incident:  02/04/2012 2:24 PM

Location of Incident:    Trier Rd at Goeglein Rd

Vehicle One:                 1997 Beige Buick 4 door

Driver One:                    Female/83 of Fort Wayne

Vehicle Two:                 2006 Grey Saab SUV

Driver Two:                   Male Adult of Fort Wayne

On 02/04/2012 Officers of The Fort Wayne Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of Trier Rd and Goeglein Rd on a serious injury accident.  Upon their arrival they discovered a grey Saab Suv in the intersection and a Beige Buick four door off the road to the South.  The Driver two and the other two occupants of the Grey Saab were in fair condition.  The driver 1, of the Buick, was in serious condition.  Driver one was transported to a local Hospital and later down graded to critical condition.  The F.A.C.T team was paged in.  Their investigation has revealed that the Beige Buick was East bound on Trier Rd approaching the four way stop at Goeglein Rd.  The Grey Saab was stopped at the four way stop heading South bound.  The Saab then proceeded into the intersection.  The Buick failed to stop for the stop sign, entered the intersection and struck the Saab.

Road conditions and alcohol do not seem to be a factor in the serious crash.

Both drivers and the two passengers of the Saab were wearing seat belts.

This Crash remains under investigation by The Fort Wayne Police Department, The Allen County Coroners Office and The Allen County Prosecutors Office.
