Stabbing Investigation

Victim:                                    Male Adult

On Sunday January 8, 2012 at approximately 6:18 am, the Fort Wayne Police Department received a 911 call advising of a disturbance inside an apartment at 100 W Creighton Ave. While officers were responding to the scene, another 911 call came into dispatch advising of a man down near the inersection of Calhoun and Creighton. As officers and paramedics arrived at this location, they located an adult male lying on the ground bleeding. Paramedics provided medical attention to the victim before transporting him to a local hospital in critical condition. Paramedics advised that the victim may have suffered from an apparent stab wound.

Investigators believe that there may have been some type of disturbance inside an apartment located at this address that may have esculated to the victim being stabbed. At this time, there is no suspect information and no arrests have been made. The name of the victim is being withheld pending family notification.

This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecutors Office.
