Armed Robbery Investigation

Department Seeks to Identify Suspect

Date/Time of Incident:          December 13, 2011 / 7:15 p.m.

Location of Incident:              1734 W Washington Center Road

The Fort Wayne Police Department is presently investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at approximately 7:15 p.m. at the Quality Inn located at 1734 Washington Center Road.  A male subject entered the business and approached the counter displaying a handgun.  The subject demanded cash from the clerk.  After obtaining an undetermined amount of cash, the perpetrator fled the scene on foot in a westerly direction. 

Investigators have obtained the video surveillance of the incident and are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.  Attached are still images of the suspect.  Anyone knowing the identity or whereabouts of this individual is encouraged to contact the City of Fort Wayne Police Department at 260 427-1222 or anonymously via CrimeStoppers at 260 436-STOP, 260 436-7867. 

Suspect Description: male white, dark-colored hair, and having some facial hair, 6’1” – 6’2”, thin build; last seen wearing a gray-colored, long-sleeved, zip-up sweatshirt with a collar, a blue-colored ‘Tennessee Titans’ ball cap, blue jeans, and brown-colored shoes.  

Possible Suspect Vehicle: small mini-van, dark in color.
