Hit Skip Pedestrian Accident

Victim:                        Male Juvenile/Serious Condition

                                   Fort Wayne

 

Hit Skip Vehicle:        Light Blue or Gray

                                  “Possibly” Nissan Sport Utility Vehicle

 

The Fort Wayne Police responded to the 3200 block of Fairfield Avenue at approximately 3:40 p.m. this afternoon to investigate a pedestrian that had been struck by a SUV style vehicle. On scene officers found the victim down in the northbound lanes of Fairfield suffering serious injuries as the result of the impact. He was transported to a local hospital where attending physicians reported him to be in very serious condition.

 

The preliminary investigation has determined that a light blue or gray in color Sport Utility Vehicle, possibly a Nissan was northbound on Fairfield Avenue when it struck the juvenile. Witnesses stated that the SUV continued north on Fairfield never stopping after the accident. Investigators are asking anyone with information that will lead to the identification of the driver of the SUV to contact CrimeStoppers or dial 427-1222 to report their information.

 

This incident remains under investigation by the F.A.C.T. Team.
