Investigators Seek to Identify Pharmacy Robbery Suspect
Date/Time of Incident: July 12, 2011, 1:18 am
Location of Incident: 2802 E. State Blvd.
Victim: CVS Pharmacy
Loss: Opana Tablets
Male white or male Hispanic, late twenties to early thirties, with goatee
and facial hair (along each side of his face), approximately 5’8” – 5’9”, 250 lbs.;
last seen wearing a short-sleeved light-blue colored shirt with dark trim
around the arms and neck of shirt, and wearing dark colored jeans, and a
black baseball cap with white lettering ‘SOX’.
The Fort Wayne Police Department is presently investigating a robbery that occurred on July 12, 2011 at approximately 1:18 a.m. at the CVS located at 2802 E. State Blvd. A male subject reportedly entered the store and approached the pharmacy counter demanding Opana. The perpetrator indicated that he had a gun, and after receiving several bottles of Opana tablets, he fled the store on foot northbound across E State Blvd.
Investigators have obtained footage of the incident from in-store video cameras, and are seeking assistance in identifying the suspect.
