This morning, Thursday, June 23, 2011 at approximately 12:48 a.m., the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the intersection of W. Jefferson Blvd. and Broadway Street reference a report of an automobile accident involving a semi-trailer truck.

Officers arrived on the scene and located the driver and sole occupant of a black-colored 2000 Chrysler Sebring.  The driver, an adult female, was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.  The driver of the semi-trailer truck was reportedly uninjured.

At this time, investigators with the Fatal Crash Team (FACT) have learned that the Chrysler Sebring was traveling south bound on Broadway Street approaching W.
