Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to 3309 Homestead Road after communications received multiple 911 hang-up calls from that location. Once on scene officers located the two victims down inside the residence. Medics transported the victims to a local hospital where doctors determined the female to be in stable condition and the male in critical condition.

During the course of the investigation it was learned that a vehicle known to be associated with this residence was missing. Utilizing OnStar global positioning services the vehicle was tracked to the Whitley County area. With the assistance of Columbia City police, Indiana State police and Whitley County police, the vehicle was located and a traffic stop was attempted. The driver of the vehicle led officers on a brief vehicle pursuit before OnStar was able to disable the vehicle bringing the pursuit to a stop in Whitley County on State Road 9 at 400 N. The male adult driver was taken into custody without incident. The suspect was transported back to Fort Wayne where he was undergoing interviews with our detectives.

This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecutor’s office.
