Date: 3/30/2020

Location: Paulding Rd and S. Hanna St.

Time: 01:41 PM

On Monday March 30th, 2020 at approximately 01:41 PM officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the intersection of Paulding Rd and S. Hanna St. in reference to a multiple vehicle accident.

Prior to officer’s arrival they were informed three vehicles were involved and the adult male driver of the SUV had fled the area, last seen walking north bound. When officers and medics arrived on scene the adult male passenger of the SUV had suffered injuries due to the accident. He was taken to Parkview Regional Medical Center for medical attention. While at the hospital the passenger was later determined to be in critical condition. The other two vehicles involved was a van and medium size sedan. The occupants of those two vehicles did not report any injuries at this time.

The Fort Wayne Police Department FACT was called out to the scene for a thorough investigation. Preliminary investigation indicates the SUV was traveling east bound on Paulding Rd. and attempted to make a left turn. The van was traveling east bound on Paulding Rd. and collided with the SUV. This caused the SUV to collide with the medium size sedan that was sitting in the south bound lanes on Hanna St.

This incident remains under investigation by the City of Fort Wayne Police Department and is asking if anyone has information regarding this incident to contact the department at 427-1201 or Crime Stoppers at 436-7867. The intersection at Hanna St and Paulding Rd is currently closed to all traffic while investigators process the scene.
