As a citizen who works for a living just like the Fort Wayne Police officers do, I respectfully ask that I receive a reply to my following questions.
Why is it that every morning during the morning commute I see an officer parked in front of the jail on Superior when it is clearly marked no parking? This morning, the officer blatantly stopped in front of the jail in front of a car that was traveling behind him and the officer had no lights on to warn the car behind him that he would be making a stop. Sometimes they stop and sit in the car for a while with no lights on. Then at this point, the cars that are traveling West on Superior all have to funnel down to one lane right after the intersection causing congestion.
Are the officers who do this above the law and they don't have to abide by street signs? There are several places to park nearby without restricting traffic and possibly causing accidents.
