Post Spotlight
What are some reason for officers to use their spotlight on a vehicle.
How long should they leave it on a car/person?

I had this done to me 4 different times just coming up to an officer at a light and quickly turns there spotlight directly on me and kept following me with it on me for a good 35 min or longer and never pull me over. I know they use there spotlight when it's dark and make a traffic stop or they are suspicious about a vehicle but I know 100 percent they aren't suspicious with my vehicle and me.

Dear Cruise Control,

Officers use their spotlights for a variety of reasons. Perhaps the officer is trying to get a better look at your license plate or perhaps a better look at the driver. I can't be certain since I was not there.

I find it very interesting that you have experienced this four separate times. What do you think the reason is?
