I just wondered whats the best action to take when you are being agressively tailgated.
This happened the other day for no reason I could think of, at times the other vehicle looked just inches away and the driver pretended to try and overtake when there was no possible way that he could!
I just carried on driving as normal and eventually pulled off to a side road, where he roared past me missing by again inches!
Would the police take any action if the license plate details were reported?
Thinking back I suspect the driver may have been drinking or on drugs!
Should I have dialled 911 at the time to report it?

Get a plate number, a vehicle description, and direction of travel and then call communications and report the event. A general broadcast will be made to officers to be on the lookout for the vehicle. We have a non-emergency number 427-1222 that can be utilized but I understand one might not remember that off the top of their head and elect to dial 911.
