Ihave a friend who just purchased a home. She was parked outside her home last week, and received a parking ticket. The enforcement officer told her that she is not permitted to park on the street between 9am-6pm m-f. She doesnt work fridays, so decided to sleep in and upon awaking was greeted by parking enforcement. After looking there are signs posted that say no parking either from 9-5 or 9-6, ones red and white, ones green and white. both are for m-f only... officer told her those signs were originally posted because of previous complaints of parkview employees parking in front of all the homes on the street.(officer told her that this was done a while back when parkview didnt have enough parking in the randallia area). however now having a parking garage, and a couple other parking lots, is this something that my friend can propose to city council, or parking enforcement, about having these signs takin down so the residents can now park in front of their own home. shes already paid the ticket however after purchasing the home and finding out she cant park in front of her home, and parkview employees no longer park there she feels these signs should be taken down. who/how does she approach this?
