This evening, I was making a purchase at a local gas station and an off duty officer was in front of me. (I only wish I got his car number so I can report this individual) He was having a conversation with the cashier regarding a suicide scene he was on, dishing out the gruesome details. I could not believe the details being shared on such a sensitive and personal circumstance with a complete stranger (or at least being overheard by a complete stranger).
Being a survivor of suicide, and since it was done by my Fiance (not yet married), I was not privvy to any details...I can't even begin to imagine if the officers on my fiance's case went spouting off intimate details, when I was not able to know anything. I am big advocate within the community and this has given me a complete negative image on how insensitive members of the FWPD can be.
