I have a question regarding FWPD's policy for the cleaning out of vehicles per shift.
As an officer,you already know how many items can turn up in a back seat after transporting a suspect (yes,even after a pat down & search,stuff still gets into seats) to jail.

Are officers required to toss the car before resuming patrol or do they wait until near the end of shift?

Officers are trained to check the cage after every time a person has been in the car.

TRAINED but not REQUIRED to do police work? Huh.
