I am starting a business in the area and am interested in introducing myself to the residents in the neighborhoods surrounding my new office. However, several of the neighborhoods have "no soliciting" signs posted at their entrances. I am not attempting to sell anything, rather only introducing myself and letting them know what I do and where my office will be located. My question is what are the laws concerning this type of activity within Fort Wayne city limits?

I understand from previous posts I found that I wont need a permit because I have a store front. But, I don't know if the "no soliciting" signs have legal standing concerning what I will be doing.

That no soliciting sign does take precedence you are not allowed to conduct that activity.
