is there any hope to in the next year or two for hiring more officers? is it being put in the budget?

House Bill 1001 has created havoc for us in that the city is now looking at a huge financial shortfall. We continue to try and assess what it translates into in terms of just how much money the city will not have for 2009 and future years to come. Hiring will be placed on a hold until such a time we can get a clearer picture of just how tight this money crunch will be.
