Fencing via Craig's List
Just curious if FWPD detectives monitor Craig's List (the Fort Wayne section) for stolen property, especially electronics. If not I might suggest it because occassionally I see items listed that raise eyebrows. Such as television sets/VCRs/DVDs without remote controls (I would presume if these items are stolen, the remotes are often left behind). Understandably there may be legitimate reasons the remote is missing, but when you see one seller offering multiple items and none have remotes, you begin to wonder. Usually each of these items is listed for sale individually, so you won't know they all trace back to the same seller until you begin to inquire.
Other curious listings are such things as the sale of burned copies of DVD movies (copyrighted material) although I don't know what role, if any, the FWPD would have in that one.
Thanks in advance for any feedback or discussion on the topic.
