“Get 2 Go” Gas Station

Fort Wayne police responded to the “Get 2 Go” gas station located at 422 Spring Street at approximately 1:20 a.m. on the report of a male shot. Officers arrived to find a male down inside the establishment suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported from the scene to a local hospital where he’s said to be in critical condition.

Investigators have learned that the victim was a passenger in a red SUV that pulled on to the lot of the “Get 2 Go” gas station. He exited the vehicle and began pumping gas when a gray in color passenger car and white SUV pulled on to the lot. Shots were fired and the victim was hit. He was able to make his way into the business where he collapsed. Both the gray passenger car and the white SUV left the scene. A very short time later a gray passenger car was stopped by an Indiana State Trooper in the 1700 block of Cortland Avenue. Investigators were interviewing two males that were in the vehicle at the time of the stop to determine if they were involved in this incident.

Detectives have not made any arrest(s) at this time. This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, and the Allen County Prosecutors
