Shooting (Critical) Investigation

Victim(s): 1 adult Male (critical condition)
Suspect(s): 2 Males
On Aug 1, 2017 at 8:02 pm The Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a reported shooting in the parking lot in the 5800 block of Turtle Creek Drive.
Upon officers arrival they located an adult male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot. Paramedics assumed care of the victim and he was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, and remains in critical condition.
Initial information suggests that there was some type of a disturbance that took place at which time the shooting took place. Witnesses stated that they saw 2 suspects flee from the scene on foot. A K9 team was brought in to attempt a track from the scene. The track was unsuccessful in locating the suspect.
Detectives were called to the scene and are going door to door trying to locate any additional witnesses and Crime Scene is on scene as well looking for any additional evidence.
At this time there is no suspects description available. The investigation at this time is showing no evidence that this is incident is gang related, and there is motive at this time as well.
The Fort Wayne Police Department Detective Bureau is asking that anyone with any information call their office.
This incident is being investigated by the Fort Wayne Police Department, and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
